About the Artist

Creative Consultant | Artist with a Strategic Mind for Business Process

Kerri Noland-Gear's love of the arts began as a child through drawing, story writing, trips to the museum, and music lessons. She earned a bachelor's degree in Art History from the University of Chicago because art tells our stories across times, locations, events, and cultural influences. However, it was not until mid-2019 that Kerri began focusing on the act of art creation.

She constructs and designs pieces to provide a tangible form to her opinions, feelings, and beliefs. Expression pathways include painting, found object collage, poetry, stories, photography, and music. Much of her work revolves around the everyday life of women who often struggle for balance in a society bent on relegating them to mother figures of eternal beauty. The wandering womb theme is a prominent motif in her work, embracing the stereotype of the hysterical woman.  Fading flowers, childbirth, menstruation, broken objects, and nature also figure prominently in her art.

Additionally, Kerri enjoys a leadership career in the field of IT/Business services and operations. She applies her creativity to designing and implementing processes and knowledge that work for people and customer habits. She understands that structure and scalability motivates as long as there is a wee bit of room to break the rules.
